State Civil Apparatus (ASN) must uphold professionalism and neutrality and, most importantly, do not enter areas you are not familiar with, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung said in his directives during the orientation period of Civil Servant Candidates (CPNS) of the Cabinet Secretariat at Building III of the Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg) on ??Thursday (1/3).

“For example, now the main problem facing this nation is hoax. Members of Saracens and Muslim Cyber Army groups turned out to be no longer thousands, but tens of thousands. The people of this nation are too easy to be part of something that they really do not know,” Pramono said.

This year is a political year, so is 2019. Therefore, Pramono calls on CPNS to maintain neutrality. He added that ASN cannot join the campaign. Despite being the closest part of the President’s office, Pramono asserted that CPNS do not have to follow-up and take part.

“Work with heart, work in earnest. I hope you can work well together with the leaders on your respective units,” Pramono said.

When it comes to facing the pressure of work, Pramono reminds them of how hard it is to be accepted to join the Cabinet Secretariat.

“If this can be done, your leaders will certainly be able to guide you, because the bond in the Cabinet Secretariat is very strong,” Pramono added.

Although currently starting from the Cabinet Secretariat, Pramono said that they could be posted elsewhere in the next 15-20 years and that is likely to happen.

“The most important thing is that you must put yourself right at the beginning. Do not cry, do not complain easily, because life is not easy if you want to succeed. You are lucky compared to the millions of other registrants that are not accepted,” Pramono asserted.

On that occasion, Pramono also expects CPNS to have good career and should have goals and desires. He added that if they want to have a good career and continue their study, then seize the opportunity in time.

“Because I realize, by continuing study, seeing the outside world, we can interact with others and have courage, we will make ourselves stronger. We must have dreams because it will lead us to do something that may not exist in our desires,” Pramono said and emphasized that dreams will make everyone work harder than others.

If the Cabinet Secretariat has competent human resources such as CPNS and leaders who want to build a system in this place, Pramono believes that one day the dream of President who has a very strong, modern, visionary presidential office can be materialized and Indonesia can become a developed country.

“I’m sure one day the dream of a President who has a very strong, modern, visionary presidential office can be materialized, and Indonesia can become a developed country,” Pramono concluded.

Also present accompanying the Cabinet Secretary were Deputy Cabinet Secretary Ratih Nurdiati, Deputy to the Cabinet Secretary for Administration Affairs Farid Utomo, Deputy to the Cabinet Secretary for Cabinet Work Support Yuli Harsono, Deputy to the Cabinet Secretary for the Economy Agustina Murbaningsih, Deputy to the Cabinet Secretary for Human Development and Culture Surat Indrijarso, Deputy to the Cabinet Secretary for Maritime Affairs Satya Bhakti Parikesit, Special Staff and Expert Staff to the Cabinet Secretary, and Echelon II officials at the Cabinet Secretariat.
