Cabinet Secretary: Scout Movement to Be Front Guard to Maintain Integrity of NKRI
Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung has expressed belief that the praja muda karana or pramuka (scout) movement has the capability to serve as the front guard in maintaining the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
This is in line with the theme of the 63rd Scout Day of “The Scouts with the Spirit of Pancasila Protect the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia”.
“With the spirit of Pancasila, scout members are expected to serve as agents of change in society and also as the front guard in maintaining the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia,” said the Cabinet Secretary in his statement welcoming the 63rd Scout Day which fell on Wednesday (08/14).
Pramono also expressed hope that the nation’s next generation would inherit the noble values of the Scout movement, which will produce a generation who are tough and have a strong national character.
“The Scouts are one of the main and most important pillars for the transformation of Indonesia’s young generation into individuals who are independent, disciplined, responsible, and capable of contributing to the progress of the nation and state,” Cabinet Secretary concluded. (KS/DNS) (TM/EP)
