Government Conveyed Condolences on the Death of King Abdullah and Sent Vice President to Saudi
The Government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) expressed deepest condolences over the death of the King of Saudi Arabia Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud in Riyadh at the age of 90 years on Thursday (22/1) night at 22:00 GMT or on Friday (23/1) at 01.00 a.m. Saudi times.
“Indonesia pray may Allah Almighty and Merciful give forgiveness and peace to the late King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, and give courage and strength to the entire royal family in the face of God’s destiny,” the official statement of the Government of Indonesia, as quoted from the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia on Friday (23/1).
According to a press statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Saudis and the world would be lost with the death of King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud. “The late King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud is known as someone who brings renewal and prosperity for the nation and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” the press release said.
Related with the death of the King of Saudi Arabia Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has commissioned Vice President Jusuf Kalla, to convey the official condolences of the Government of Indonesia.
“Vice President together with Mrs Mufidah Jusuf Kalla and limited entourage planned to depart using the Presidential plane BBJ 2 on Saturday morning, January 24, 2015 and will be return on Monday, January 26th, 2015,” reads the press release Secretariat Vice President, Friday (23/1) .
During the visit, Vice President Jusuf Kalla also scheduled to give the congratulations on the inauguration of the Crown Prince Salman as the new King of Saudi Arabia. (Humas Kemlu/ES)
