President Jokowi Attends ASEAN Summit Opening Ceremony

President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo Friday (11/11) attended the opening ceremony of the 40^th and 41st ASEAN Summit and Related Summits, at Sokha Hotel, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Upon arrival at Sokha Hotel at around 7.50 a.m. Western Indonesian Time, President Jokowi and the First Lady were welcomed by Prime Minister of Cambodia Hun Sen.

They took a group photo before joining other ASEAN leaders for the opening ceremony in the hotel’s ballroom.

Afterwards, the President and First Lady visited a photo exhibition and attended the launching of the book titled “Cambodia’s Contribution to ASEAN”.

After the opening ceremony, President Jokowi is slated to join the plenary session of the 40^th ASEAN Summit and a retreat meeting of the 41^st ASEAN Summit.

Joining President Jokowi during the ceremony were Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Mahfud MD, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, and Minister of State Secretary Pratikno.
