President Jokowi, First Lady Iriana Arrive in Beijing
After the seven-hour-flight, the Garuda Indonesia Plane GIA-1, which took President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo, and the entourage, landed at Beijing Capital International Airport, Beijing, People’s Republic of China (PRC), at around 16.10 local time, Monday (10/16).
The President and the First Lady were welcomed by Indonesian Ambassador to China Djauhari Oratmangun and Indonesian Defense Attaché in Beijing Brig. Gen. Benny P. Nadeak and their spouses.
Also welcoming the President and the First Lady was China’s Housing and Urban-Rural Development Minister Ni Hong.
From the airport, President and First Lady Iriana continued the trip to China World Hotel to attend the Indonesia-China Business Forum.
Upon arrival at the hotel, President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana were welcomed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, the DCM of Indonesian Embassy in Beijing Parulian George Andreas Silalahi and his spouse, and Indonesian citizens. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/AIT) (RKW/RI)
