President Jokowi Inaugurates Five Members of LPI’s Board of Supervisors

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo accompanied by Vice President Ma’ruf Amin inaugurated five members of the Board of Supervisors of the Investment Management Institution (LPI), at the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (27/1).

The inauguration ceremony was begun with reverberation of the national anthem “Indonesia Raya” and followed by recitation of Presidential Decree Number 6/P of 2021 on the Dismissal and Appointment of Members of the Board of Supervisors of the Investment Management Institution (LPI) by Secretary to Minister of State Secretary Setya Utama.

The newly-inaugurated members are, as follows:

  1. Minister of Finance, Chairperson and a member;
  2. Minister of State-owned Enterprises, a member;
  3. Darwin Cyril Noerhadi, a member for 2021-2026 term of office;
  4. Yozua Makes, a member for 2021-2025 term of office;
  5. Haryanto Sahari, a member for 2021-2026 term of office.

Afterwards, the members took oath of office before President Jokowi and the national anthem “Indonesia Raya” was reverberated again to conclude the inauguration ceremony.

Afterwards, the newly-inaugurated members received congratulations from the President and Vice President.

For the record, the Board of Supervisors of the LPI has duties to monitor the management of the Institution conducted by Board of Directors. Board of Supervisors chaired by Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani, is supported by four other members, namely Minister of State-owned Enterprises and three professionals.

Before the inauguration, nomination for members of LPI’s Board of Supervisors from professionals has been approved by the House of Representatives. (TGH/UN) (RAS/MUR)
