President Jokowi Inaugurates New Building at Hasan Sadikin Hospital
President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Thursday (08/29) inaugurated the new Building for Maternal and Child Health Service at Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) in Bandung city, West Java province.
The President said that the eight-story building with a capacity of 490 beds is expected to set the new standard for other hospitals in Indonesia.
“When I entered the building, I saw the layout is very good, and the furniture is very good as well. The most important thing is that the hospital utilizes digital and modern equipment. It sets a new standard for hospital management,” the President said.
The President said that the layout and facilities of the new building resemble four or five-star hotels.
The President also expressed hope that the RSHS services, especially the Maternal and Child Health Service, will be able to compete with medical facilities in neighboring countries, so that people do not need to seek treatment abroad.
The President further said that the construction of the building, with a budget of Rp383 billion, shows the Government’s commitment to providing quality health services for the people. (FID/DNS) (RI/MUR)
