President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Monday (04/22) inspected health facilities and medical devices at Toto Kabila Regional General Hospital in Bone Bolango regency, Gorontalo province.

“The hospital has received a CT scan, which costs around Rp20 billion, and it has been in operation. The remaining devices that have yet to arrive are cathlab and mammography machine. We will expedite it,” the President said in his press statement after the inspection.

The President went on to say that increasing hospital’s capacity is as important as providing medical devices.

Therefore, he ordered Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono to immediately follow up on the hospital construction proposal.

On that occasion, patients using BPJS Kesehatan insurance expressed their satisfaction for the hospital’s services.

They also expressed hope that the insurance program can continue to be developed as it provides concrete benefits for the people. (RAS/EP)
