President Jokowi Joins Swearing-in Ceremony of New Constitutional Court Justice

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Thursday (01/18) at the State Palace, Jakarta witnessed Asrul Sani take an oath as Constitutional Court Justice.

The appointment of Asrul Sani as Justice of Constitutional Court is based on Decree of the President of the Republic of Number 102/P of 2023 on Dismissal and Appointment of Constitutional Justice proposed by the House of Representatives.

The decree stipulated by President Jokowi in Jakarta on October 24, 2023 was red by Deputy to Minister of State Secretary for Apparatuses’ Administration Affairs Nanik Purwanti.

After signing the decree, Asrul took an oath before the Head of State.

“In the name of Allah, I do solemnly swear that I will take responsibility as the Constitutional Justice in the best and fairest way possible, to bear true faith and allegiance to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and to execute all laws and regulations in an upright manner according to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia for the sake of the state and the nation,” Asrul recited.

Afterwards, President Joko Widodo and Asrul Sani signed the official record. (FID/AIT) (AW/EP)
