President Jokowi Listens to Aspirations from Pajukukang Fishermen of Maros

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and Ibu Iriana visited Kampung Nelayan Pajukukang village, Bontoa district, Maros regency, South Sulawesi province, Wednesday (29/03), to listen to aspirations from fishermen.

“We want to listen to aspirations from the fishermen about the current problems in the field,” the President said after having a dialog with fishermen.

During the dialog, the President said that the fishermen expressed their complaints from licensing, conflicts within fishermen, to fishing gears. He had also instructed related officials to resolve the fishermen’s complaints.

“We have listened to their aspirations and will soon find the best solution. I think minor problems in the field should be resolved. I have instructed related officials to resolve licensing. The conflict among fishermen of different area will be notified to the Regional Police. All fishermen are brothers. Therefore, it is expected there is no friction within fishermen,” the President emphasized.
