President Jokowi Receives Letters of Credence from New Ambassadors

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, on Thursday (04/02), received Letters of Credence from seven new Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary (LBBP) of Friendly Countries to the Republic of Indonesia, marking the official start of their ambassadorial duties in the country.

The event was held at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta by adhering to strict health protocols.

The seven new Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Indonesia are:

  1. Mohammad MostafizurRahman, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Republic of Indonesia;
  2. Muhammad Hassan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Republic of Indonesia;
  3. Manoj Kumar Bharti, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Indonesia;
  4. JaroslavDoleček, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Indonesia;
  5. Kanasugi Kenji, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Indonesia;
  6. Dan Adrian Bălănescu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the Republic of Indonesia;
  7. AmenataveVakasavuwaqaYauvoli, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Fiji to the Republic of Indonesia;

The Credential ceremony commenced with the welcoming ceremony for the Ambassadors at the front yard of the Palace. Afterward, the President received Letters of Credence from the Ambassadors sequentially. The ceremony was then followed by a joint photo session and the reverberation of Indonesia’s national anthem Indonesia Raya.(FID/UN) (FI/LW)
