President Jokowi Urges Heads of State Institutions to Materialize Social Justice

President Joko Jokowi Widodo, on Tuesday (30/5) afternoon, held an iftar jamaie (communal fast-breaking) together with the Heads of State Institutions at the State Palace, Jakarta. Previously, President Jokowi had an iftar with Ministers of Working Cabinet one day earlier.
In his speech, President Jokowi said that this year the Indonesian nation started to observe fasting with deep sorrow over the victims of terror acts in Kampung Melayu on Wednesday.
Therefore, the President urged the Heads of State Institutions to jointly unite the vision, spirit, and mutual cooperation amongst our State Institutions (Executive, Legislative, and Judicial). “This is very important,” the President said.
The President also invited the Heads of State Institutions to seize the holy month of Ramadan to strengthen solidarity and cooperation to accelerate the realization of social justice in the daily life of Indonesian people, especially in materializing equitable economy. “That is all what I want to say this afternoon. Happy break fasting. May Allah accept our fasting and work in this holy month of Ramadan,” President Jokowi concluded.
Attending the occasion were Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) Setya Novanto accompanied by Deputy Speaker of DPR RI Fahri Hamzah, Fadli Zon, Agus Hermanto, and Taufik Kurniawan; Speaker of the Peoples Consultative Assembly (MPR RI) Zulkifli Hasan accompanied by Deputy Speaker of MPR RI Mahyudin and Hidayat Nur Wahid; Speaker of the Regional Representatives Council (DPD RI) Oesman Sapta accompanied by Deputy Speaker of DPD RI Nono Sampono, Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) Arief Hidayat accompanied by Vice Chief Justice Anwar Usman; Chief Justice of Supreme Court (MA) Hatta Ali accompanied by Vice Chief Justice of MA Syarifuddin; Chief Justice of the Judicial Commission (KY) Aidul Fitriciasa accompanied by Vice Chief Justice of KY Sukma Violetta; and the Indonesian Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) Deputy Chairman Bahrullah Akbar.
Meanwhile, President Jokowi was accompanied by Vice President Jusuf Kalla, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Wiranto, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.
