President Jokowi Visits Sila Market in W. Nusa Tenggara

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and First Lady Ibu Iriana Joko Widodo on Thursday (12/29) visited Sila market in Bima regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) province.

Arriving at around 08.20 Central Indonesia Time (WITA), the President and Ibu Iriana greeted the traders and the people at the market.

The President and the First Lady also handed over working capital assistance (BMK) to street vendors and direct cash assistance (BTL) to Sila market traders.

One of the market traders, Nurinayah, expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by the Government and for the President’s visit.

“Thank you Mr. Jokowi for handing over this (assistance) and for visiting our village in Bima. I hope you and your family will always stay healthy,” Nurinayah said.

Lisa, a resident of Bima who had an opportunity to take a selfie with the President, also expressed gratitude for meeting the President.

Another Bima resident at the market, Leni, expressed hope that the President can revisit Bima in the future.

“As a resident of Bima, I hope Mr. Jokowi can pay attention to Bima region. The people of Bima need support regarding the price of corn,” Leni said. (BPMI SETPRES/AIT) (RI/EP)
