President Prabowo Subianto, Thursday (11/07) opened the 2024 National Coordination Meeting of Central and Regional Governments, at the Sentul International Convention Center (SICC), Bogor regency, West Java province.

In his remarks, President Prabowo expressed his gratitude for Ministry of Home Affairs for organizing a coordination meeting with all levels of government. “I truly appreciate this effort as this is my first opportunity to talk with all decision makers in our republic. I believe, this is a very meaningful opportunity, a strategic one,” President Prabowo said.

Meanwhile, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian stated in his report that the coordination meeting was a follow-up to the President’s directives. This meeting under the theme “Implementation of Asta Cita Missions Towards Indonesia 2024” aims to align all levels of regional government in supporting the Government’s priority programs.

“It aims to coordinate and harmonize regional governments and Forkopimda (regional leadership coordination forum) as well as vertical institutions in the regions to support the priority programs and policy directions of the President for the next five years,” the Minister said, adding that this coordination meeting was attended by 5,360 participants from various levels of government institutions and Forkopimda representatives.

This coordination meeting is also expected to increase synergy and collaboration between institutions to realize more efficient governance and preparedness in facing future national challenges. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/DNS) (FI/LW)
