President Prabowo Subianto Arrives in China

President Prabowo Subianto on Friday (11/08) arrived at Beijing Capital International Airport, Beijing, the People’s Republic of China, at 6.30 p.m. local time.

President Prabowo was welcomed by Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China, Han Jun, Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia Wang Lutong, Indonesian Ambassador to China Djauhari Oratmangun, Indonesian Defence Attaché to China Brigadier General Benny P. Nadeak, and a child who gave President Prabowo a flowers bouquet. Afterward, the guard of honor accompanied President Prabowo toward the vehicle.

President Prabowo with his entourage then proceeded to the hotel where they would stay during the visit.

On this visit, President Prabowo is slated to meet President of China Xi Jinping. President Prabowo is also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Li Qiang and the Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Zhao Leji, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

President Prabowo was accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Vice Minister of Defense Doni Hermawan, Vice Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Stella Christie, the Air Force Chief of Staff Marshall M.
