President Prabowo Subianto has reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with China on multiple strategic sectors.

“We aspire to strengthen our cooperation with China, which has solidified its unparallel global position. Our aim is to contribute to China’s rise not only as an economic powerhouse but also as a distinguished civilizational force,” he said in Indonesia-China Business Forum, held at Peninsula Hotel, Beijing, the People’s Republic of China, Sunday (11/10).

For this reason, the President underscored that the active involvement of Chinese business players is considered crucial for enhancing the cooperation between the two countries.

President Subianto has also reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to strengthening collaboration and synergy with China across sectors during a meeting with President of the People’s Republic of China (11/09).

“I am optimistic about the future cooperation between Indonesia and China, which will serve as a stabilizing factor for the region and foster regional cooperation. It is essential to demonstrate that cooperation and non-confrontational measures are the keys to achieving peace and prosperity in this modern era,” he added.

For the record, a number of memoranda of understanding by Indonesian and Chinese corporations were signed during that occasion.

“We welcome more investment and are committed to creating a favorable investment climate, offering the best facilities and comprehensive support to our brothers and sisters from China,” he said adding that such cooperation and collaboration will foster mutual understanding and prosperity for the peoples from both countries.
