Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

Ladies and Gentlemen, My Fellow Citizens.

Today, I along with a limited delegation will leave for Dubai, the United Arab Emirates to attend a series of events at the World Climate Action Summit COP28.

The world is greatly expecting the COP28 to endorse concrete global actions to reduce the rise in temperature on the planet. The tangible commitment of developed countries, in particular, should be strengthened to funding efforts aimed at reaching the net-zero emissions target.

At COP28, I will share Indonesia’s experience in dealing with the impacts of climate change and emphasize the importance of global collaboration to ensure sufficient funds for handling the global phenomenon as well as the importance of an inclusive transition for the sake of ensuring the sustainability of development and welfare of people in developing countries.

I will also attend a presidency event related to food system transformation, G77 and China Summit, and several bilateral meetings.

My entourage and I, Insya Allah, are scheduled to return to Jakarta on December 3, Sunday morning.

Thank you.

Wassalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
