Press Statement of President of the Republic of Indonesia before Departure for Working Visits to the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and Saudi Arabia, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten Province, October 16, 2023

Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen,
My Fellow Countrymen,
Today, my delegation and I will undertake a working visit to Beijing, PRC and Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
On October 17 and 18, we will attend two major events in Beijing: bilateral meeting with President Xi Jinping and the 3rd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.
In addition to attending the bilateral meeting, I will also meet Prime Minister Li Qiang and PRC Parliament Speaker Zhao Leji. We will discuss a number of priority issues with China, including on increasing Indonesia’s exports, increasing investment, and building food security.
On October 18, I will continue my trip to Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to pay an official visit with the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia and to chair the first ASEAN GCC (Gulf Cooperation Countries) Summit.
We will discuss a number of collaborations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including on increasing economic and investment cooperation, guaranteeing halal products, energy, and establishing the highest coordination council.
On October 21, God willing, my limited delegation and I will arrive in Indonesia.
