President of the Republic of Indonesia (Joko Widodo)

This station will become one of the central stations that integrate intercity trains, commuter line (commuter rail system for Greater Jakarta), airport trains, TransJakarta buses, and other modes of transportation. I hope it can be integrated to progress people’s mobility from one place to another, from one region to other regions.

This is the first phase; Phase II is projected to be completed around 2024-2025. It is because the construction of Manggarai Station cannot be done in a short time since the station is currently fully operational. If we close the station for construction, we can complete it faster. We only have… how much time do we have in a day? Four hours a day to work; and it is at night, midnight. That is the issue in the development of Manggarai Station.

We also expect speed, headway, and people’s mobility to be improved through this integration. That’s it.

Reporter

Sir… [regarding large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) and public activity restrictions (PPKM)]?

President of the Republic of Indonesia (Joko Widodo)

Not yet, not yet. I have not received documents on PSBB-PPKM yet. Once it’s completed [I will decide]. Since it’s connected with sero survey, several studies, I want it to be comprehensive. Don’t make a wrong decision. So yeah, we should be patient and wait.

Reporter

Pak Jokowi, [the case] in China shows a significant increase, what will we do to anticipate it?

President of the Republic of Indonesia (Joko Widodo)

If the results of our sero survey have exceeded 90, our immunity is considered strong. It would not be a problem even though there are many things going on. For instance, our daily cases have declined to below 1,000. However, we need to conduct a study about the causes. Is it because our strong immunity or because the virus is no longer exist in Indonesia; there are many probabilities. We’ll see in other places, other countries. Thus, we’ll wait for the study from Ministry of Health, epidemiologists, so that we can make correct decisions.

Reporter

Thank you, Sir.

President of the Republic of Indonesia (Joko Widodo)

It will depend on the results of the study. We expect it can be completed by the end of this year, the sero survey and the studies.
