Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,
May prosperity be upon us all,
Ladies and gentlemen, and fellow countrymen,
I have received a report regarding the increasing number of Rohingya refugees entering Indonesia, particularly in the province of Aceh.
There is strong suspicion of the involvement of human trafficking networks (TPPO) in this refugee influx. The Indonesian government will take firm action against human trafficking perpetrators. Temporary humanitarian assistance to the refugees will be provided, prioritizing the interests of the local community.
The Indonesian government will continue coordinating with the international organization to address this issue.
