Remarks of President of the Republic of Indonesia at the Inauguration of the Maternal and Child Health Service Building at Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital, September 2, 2024
Om swastiastu.
Distinguished Minister of Health, Minister of State Secretary, Chief of the Indonesian National Police;
Distinguished Governor of Bali Province and all ranks of Regional Leaders Communication Forum (Forkopimda);
Ladies and Gentlemen.
I just entered the new building of Ngoerah Hospital. It felt like stepping into a five-star hotel. The waiting room and furniture are very nice, and they showed me really modern, high-tech, and digital devices and equipment. These will help lessen mother and child mortality rates, especially in Bali province, and generally in Indonesia.
This magnificent building cost Rp233 billion. The medical equipment, which is very expensive since it is modern, amounting to Rp241 billion. However, spending Rp233 [billion] plus Rp241 billion for equipment is alright, as long as the community, especially mothers and children, gets the best health services. And there is an additional Rp28 billion for human resources, which is also important. I think equipment training and any other digital training are very nice. The additional 326 beds will help improve health services for our community.
That concludes my remarks. By the blessing of Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa, this afternoon I inaugurate the Maternal and Child Health Service Building of Ngoerah Hospital in Denpasar city, Bali province.
I thank you.
Om santi santi om.
