Statement of President of the Republic of Indonesia during Inspection of Mass COVID-19 Vaccination at Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, 14 June 2021, Bekasi, West Java Province
Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
This morning, I inspect the vaccination in Bekasi together with Minister of Health, Governor of West Java, and Mayor of Bekasi. The vaccination takes place at a football stadium which can cover a large number of recipients, including persons with disabilities and public servants. And we hope that the way the vaccination is organized in Bekasi can be emulated in other cities and regencies, so that vaccination can be provided for a large number of recipients.
The Mayor has said that the vaccine recipients here could reach 10,000 (people) a day and we hope that we can achieve herd immunity immediately. We hope we can stop the spread of COVID-19.
