President Jokowi Hands Over 2.576 Land Certificates in Bireuen, Aceh
President Joko “Jokowi “Widodo handed over 2.576 land certificates to residents of Bireuen at Galacticos Futsal Court, Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province, Saturday (22/2).
The certificate distribution, the President said, aims to overcome land dispute occurred in many regions in Indonesia. The President added that he often receive reports on land dispute cases during his working visits to the regions.
“Land dispute does not only occur in Aceh. It does occur in all parts of Indonesia, including Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Papua, Bali, East Nusa Tenggara, and West Nusa Tenggara” he said.
President Jokowi explained that he is committed to accelerating land certificate distribution to complete the unfinished land certification process.
On that occasion, the President also said that certificate holders must make the copy of the certificate. If the certificate lost, he added, the certificate holders can bring the copy to the office of the National Land Agency (BPN).
The President went on to say that if the certificate holders want to use their certificate as loan collateral, they must carefully calculate the installment, and use the loan for working capital, not for buying cars.
“Use the loan for investment or working capital, save the profit, and later you may use the profit for buying a car,” the President said.
Also present during the event were, among others, Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (BPN) Sofyan Djalil, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, and Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko.
