Statement of President of the Republic of Indonesia after an Inspection of Mass COVID-19 Vaccination at Universitas Indonesia Hospital (RSUI), 9 June 2021, Depok, West Java Province

This morning, I inspected mass vaccination at Universitas Indonesia Hospital in Depok City which was carried out on approximately 1,500 educators, the elderly, and public servants. I also saw firsthand the implementation of drive-thru vaccination for motorcycle taxi drivers, both for two-wheelers and four-wheelers.

We hope that the vaccination process will not only be carried out here but also in other regions, in other provinces and it can be accelerated. Earlier, I received information from Minister of Health that today, the vaccination will also be held in the West Java provincial capital of Bandung and Tangerang massively.

We hope that in June, the target for daily vaccination of 700,000 [doses of vaccine] can really be achieved so that in July, we can meet the target for daily vaccination of 1 million [doses of vaccine].
