Papua Youth Creative Hub to Develop Great Talents in Papua, President Jokowi Says

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Saturday (02/10) attended ceremonial groundbreaking for the Papua Youth Creative Hub in Jayapura city, Papua Province.

The President expressed hope that the hub will become an accelerator, a center for the development of Papua’s talent to strengthen entrepreneurship, research and development, digital, and innovation ecosystem in the province.

On that occasion, President Jokowi also expressed his gratitude to the Inspirative Papua Youth (PMI) community for their contribution to gather a lot of Papua Youth’s talents, adding that, the President believed that there is still a lot of potential to explore and develop.

“This is our task. Papua and West Papua provinces have a number of talented people in the fields of science, arts and culture, and sports. Once again, this is a big task for us all to provide proper talent management, to facilitate their talents,” the President said.

According to President Jokowi, the Papua Youth Creative Hub is expected to become the future of Indonesia, the future of Papua and the construction is also expected to finish in 2022 so that it will be utilized to improve the quality of human resources in Papua.

Later on, the Papua Youth Creative Hub will be equipped with two floors including coffee shop, co-working space, library, MSMEs’ stores, sport facilities, coding and programming room, prayer room, dormitories, and more. (TGH/UN) (AP/LW)
