After over a week visits to several countries in Asia, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) accompanied by First Lady Iriana arrived in the home country on Sunday (29/3) night around 18:30.

Arrival President Jokowi and First Lady at Halim Airport, Jakarta, welcomed by a number of state officials, including Vice President Jusuf Kalla and Mrs. Mufidah, Coordinating Minister for Politics, Legal, and Security Tedjo Edhi Purdijatno, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Indroyono Susilo, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, TNI Commander General Moeldoko, Deputy Chief of Polri Komjen Badrodin Haiti, and Governor of Jakarta Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok.

As reported previously since Sunday (22/3), President Jokowi accompanied by First Lady Iriana and a number of Work Cabinet Ministers has visited a number of countries in Asia, namely Japan, the People’s Republic of China (PRC), Malaysia, and Singapore.

During a visit to Japan and China, which is the official state visit, President Jokowi in addition to meet with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Chinese President Xi Jinping also attended a series of business forum events, including to attend Boao Forum for Asia, in Hainan, China.

As for the visit to Malaysia that conducted by the President Jokowi to attend wedding reception of Prime Minister Najib Razak’s daughter, Nooryana Najwa with Daniyar Kessikbayev, which was held in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on Saturday (28/3) night.

While visits to Singapore to attend the procession final tribute to the former Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Kuan Yew, which took place at the University Cultural Centre Hall, National University Singapore (NUS), Sunday (29/3) afternoon.

To the reporters that intercepted at Halim Airport, Jakarta, President Jokowi said that his visit to Japan and China provides some real results, and it will be followed up in the coming weeks. Cooperation is particularly relates to the field of economics. (*/ES)
