President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Wednesday (09/07) inaugurated Abdullah Azwar Anas as Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform at the State Palace in Jakarta.

The inauguration was based on Presidential Decree Number 91/P of 2022 on the Installment of Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform of the Indonesia Onward Cabinet for 2019-2024 Period.

“I hereby swear in the name of God that I pledge my allegiance to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will uphold all laws and regulations in an honest manner for my service to the nation and state. I will uphold the code of ethics and be fully responsible in carrying out my duties,” Anas stated while taking his oath, which was read by President Joko Widodo during the inauguration.

For the record, before being inaugurated as the Minister, Anas was Head of the National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP) since January 13, 2022, Regent of Banyuwangi for periods of 2010-2015 and 2016-2021, and also had ever served as member of the Houses.
