President Jokowi Distributes Assistances in South Buton

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Tuesday (09/27) distributed direct cash assistance (BLT) for fuel for beneficiaries of Family Hope Program (PKH) at Batauga post office, South Buton regency, Southeast Sulawesi province.

Arriving at the Batuaga Post Office, the President was welcomed by Acting Regent of South Buton La Ode Budiman and immediately distributed the fuel BLT and staple food assistance to the people.

While distributing the assistance, President Jokowi instructed the beneficiaries to truly utilize the assistance for additional business capital or other productive needs, instead of unnecessary needs such as buying clothes.

“The money is to increase business capital or expand the business. If you already have a business, you can use it for other important family needs, such as children’s school tuitions,” he said.

After the distribution of at the post office, the President visited Bandar Batauga people’s market distribute working capital assistance (BMK) to street vendors and traditional market merchants.
