President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Wednesday (01/03) visited the factory of tea company PT Tong Tji Indonesia in Tegal regency, Central Java province.

During the visit, the President greeted factory workers and had a brief dialogue with them on Indonesia’s economic situation.

“This is a company that is very specific in my opinion. It produces tea and when I entered this factory, the smell is different. It is fragrant and aromatic here,” he said.

On that occasion, the President also told the workers that Indonesia is one of many countries that were able to revive its economy, adding that 96 countries currently receive assistance from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) due to their bad economic situation.

“We must be grateful that our economy grew by 5 percent and is among the top five in the world. Albeit facing a truly difficult situation, we can navigate the economy well,” he remarked. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/AIT) (DH/EP)
