President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Monday (05/13) visited Laino Raha Market, Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi province.

On that occasion, President Jokowi was greeted by traders and the people who had crowded the market since the morning. The President also had conversations with traders, asking prices and distributing cash assistance for them.

Saidah, one of the traders, said that she was grateful to meet the President in person.

“Thank God (I got the assistance). I am also grateful that I can meet the President in person. Previously we have only seen the President on television,” she said.

President Jokowi also bought bananas. Suhia, the banana trader, said that the price of the bananas was Rp5,000 per bunch. President Jokowi bought two bunches and gave the trader Rp150,000.
