Alert to the Threat of Terrorism, President Jokowi Asks TNI – Polri Can Keep the Security Stability

President Jokowi provides direction in Rapimnas TNI-Polri, in STIK Jakarta, Tuesday (3/3)

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) requesting the ranks Indonesian National Army (TNI) – Indonesian National Police (Polri) in order to maintain security and stability in earnest, in order that the development targets that we conducted could be achieved.

“We should keep the security stability in earnest, in order that the targets economic growth, infrastructure development that we want to do could be maintained and then the target will be achieved,” President Jokowi said when briefed the participants of Rapimnas TNI- Polri at  STIK Auditorium, Jakarta, Tuesday (3/3).

Related to this, President Jokowi reminded, that the acts of terrorism could be a threat which faced by Indonesia and other countries in the world. Therefore, the President stressed the importance of prevention of all matters relating to terrorism.

“I think not only Indonesia but also other countries, all facing the same view regarding terrorism, especially the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS),” Jokowi said.

Facing these problems, according to President Jokowi, we also have a program that is our obligation together to resolve and fix it.

“Do not let facing the incident first and then we finish. The prevention is the best,” the President said.

This means, President Jokowi explain, in terms of intelligence, from the side of the search of data in the field we should have.

The opening of Rapimnas TNI – Polri attended by 246 high-ranking of TNI and Polri, including the Provincial Police Chief (Kapolda), and attended by Minister of State Secretary Partikno, Coordinating Minister for Politics, Legal and Security Tejo Edhy Purdijatno, Minister of PAN-RB Yuddy Chrisnandi, and Chief of State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Marciano Norman.
