Fijian PM in Indonesia for Two-Day Visit

Prime Minister of Republic of Fiji Sitiveni Rabuka Wednesday (04/23) arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten for his two-day official visit in Indonesia.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to be in the country from April 23 to 24.
Upon arrival, the Prime Minister was honored with a ceremonial guard of honor and was welcomed by Indonesian Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto and Indonesian Ambassador to Republic of Fiji Dupito D. Simamora.
Following the airport reception, PM Rabuka and his delegation proceeded to their hotel accommodations in capital Jakarta.
The following day on Thursday (04/24), PM Rabuka is scheduled to meet Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta.
“At around 10:00 AM Western Indonesian Time, PM Rabuka will be received by President Prabowo Subianto at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta with an official welcoming ceremony. The two leaders will take part in a tête-à-tête, followed by a bilateral meeting involving delegations from both countries. The official visit will conclude with a formal luncheon hosted by the President in honor of his Fijian counterpart,” said Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Yusuf Permana in a written statement.
The meeting between the two leaders is expected to focus on strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between Indonesia and Fiji. The visit is also expected to serve as a strategic opportunity to enhance collaboration between the two nations and to reinforce their roles in addressing global challenges .
