Gov’t Adjusts Circular on Booster Vaccination
Ministry of Health’s General Director of Disease Control and Prevention Friday (02/25) issued Circular Number SR.02.06/II/1180/2022 on the Adjustment of COVID-19 Booster Vaccination for General Public.
Under the Circular, booster shot can be administered to the elderly (people above 60 years old) and the general public at a minimum of three months after receiving complete primary shots of COVID-19 vaccine.
This Circular was published as a follow-up to Circular Number HK.02.02/II/252/2022 on the Booster Dose of COVID-19 Vaccination issued on January 12, 2022 and a consideration of the increase in COVID-19 case.
“Community protection against COVID-19 needs to continue to be improved, including through the provision of booster dose of COVID-19 vaccination,” the Circular reads.
