President Prabowo Subianto visits People’s School in Bali, on Sunday (6/7).

President Prabowo Subianto on Sunday (6/7) emphasized that education is the key to people’s welfare in various aspects of life. The President made the statement during his visit to People’s Junior High School 17 in Tabanan, Bali.

In his remarks, the President highlighted that the development of human resources must be holistic through high-quality education and training for all people at all levels of society. He stressed that it is not only formal education that must be improved, but also training for farmers, teachers, nurses, and many other workers from other professions.

“Education can make people prosperous in many ways. Education and training for farmers, teachers, nurses, and all other workers must be improved,” said President Prabowo.

He also explained that the effort to improve education quality is a major undertaking and requires support and adequate resources. Therefore, the Government has committed to responsibly protecting and managing national wealth, for the greatest benefit of all Indonesian people.

“The Government and leaders must work hard, spend money efficiently, and protect national wealth. Our nation is truly rich; we have tremendous natural resources, and we must manage and protect them well,” said the President.

On the occasion, President Prabowo also expressed his happiness at witnessing the improvement of the People’s School program, which he believed would bring new hope to people who need high-quality education. He also acknowledged the high need for the program.

“I am excited to see the improvement of the People’s School program. Of course, it needs more effort as the need for the program is growing higher,” he added.

President Prabowo ordered the acceleration of its development and coverage expansion. He also urged local governments, ministries, and institutions to work together to find creative solutions, to improve education service capacities, including the temporary use of state facilities, before developing the schools’ permanent buildings.

“To the regents and central government officials, please find state-owned land. So, we can accommodate all the demand,” he continued.

The Government has set the People’s School program as part of its commitment to improve educational access for people who need education. Through this program, the Government expects that many Indonesian children will have equal opportunity to obtain high-quality education in order to improve their families’ welfare in the future.

This commitment is part of President Prabowo’s goodwill to cut the poverty cycle through education. Through the program, the Government ensures that economic limitations are no longer boundaries for Indonesian children in their efforts to achieve a brighter future.

For President Prabowo, education is not only the teaching process in classrooms, but also a nation’s investment to create excellent generations who will bring Indonesia to advancement, independence, and just prosperity for all people.
