President Jokowi Chairs Limited Meeting on Follow Up to Increased Investment
President Joko Jokowi Widodo chaired a Limited Meeting on follow-up to increased investment at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Wednesday (31/1) afternoon.
In his directives, President Jokowi asserted that the meeting is a follow up to the discussion that has been delivered by Vice President Jusuf Kalla. “We already have a meeting on increased investment. Today is a follow-up to what we have delivered at the meeting two weeks ago, which of course the Vice President has conducted the meeting several times,” the President said.
In a meeting held on 5 January 2018, the President said that Indonesias investment rating jumped significantly. “This is a very big step forward,” the President said in his introductory remarks at a Limited Meeting on Increased Investment and Trade, at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Friday (5/1) afternoon.
Similarly, when it comes to the rating for investment grade, according to the President at that time, Standard & Poor’s upgraded Indonesias sovereign bond ratings to investment grade and Fitch Rating also upgraded Indonesia to BBB.
To that end, the President asked all relevant parties not to lose momentum. The President wants more to focus on investment, export or foreign trade, be it in the sector of industry, energy and mineral resources, health, education, defense industry, agriculture, or marine and fisheries.
