President Jokowi Distributes Food Assistance in Palembang

The Government is preparing schemes to provide food assistance from the Government’s rice reserves for the coming year, according to President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo.

“In January, February, and March next year, you will get 10 kg of rice each month. Do you all agree? Please note that the distribution will happen if the state budget is sufficient,” President Jokowi said after distributing food assistance to beneficiary families at Bulog warehouse of Sukamaju, Palembang city, South Sumatra province, Thursday (10/26).

The Head of State also said that the Government is preparing additional social assistance at the end of this year.

“Please check your bank account in November and December and see if there is an incoming balance for the Government will transfer Rp200,000, God willing, in two phases. That means you will receive Rp400,000,” he said.

On the occasion, the President also had a dialogue and gave a quiz to the beneficiary families. He also expressed appreciation to the people who had answered questions correctly.
