President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo greets several residents at Manado’s Post Office, North Sulawesi, Thursday (12/28).

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Thursday (12/28) visited Manado Post Office in Manado city, North Sulawesi province to ensure the distribution of the El Nino direct cash assistance.

On that occasion, the President noticed that the distribution was well-targeted.

“I have also checked the distribution through banks and other post offices. All the distribution ran smoothly,” he said.

President Jokowi went on to say that the reserve of government rice assistance had also been successfully distributed to the beneficiaries starting from September, October, November, and December.

During the visit, the President also greeted a number of residents at the location.

Rani, one of the residents who had the opportunity to take a photo with the President, expressed her happiness despite having to wait for quite a while.

“It was a two-hour wait, but finally I am happy to meet the President,” she said.
