President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Thursday (11/17) inspected Badung traditional market in Badung regency, Bali province.

“This morning, after the G20 event, I went to Badung market. As usual, I want to inspect the prices of commodities here, how does the inflation affect the market, so we can make policies based on the real conditions,” President Jokowi said.

The President also said that he regularly inspects local markets to look at commodities’ prices and have a dialogue with market traders in his working visit to regions.

“I had a dialogue and heard the situation in-person from market traders, how their conditions are and the challenges they face, including the effects of inflation,” he said, adding that the inspection made him better understand the real conditions.

During the visit, the President also expressed appreciation for the journalists’ participation in the G20 Summit.

“I would like to thank all the media who have covered the G20 event,” President Jokowi remarked. (BPMI Presidential Secretariat/AIT) (GWH/MMB)
