President Jokowi Receives Official Visit from ROK President at Merdeka Palace

Upon arrival at the palace, President Yoon Suk Yeol and Mrs. Kim Keon Hee headed to the ceremonial podium to listen to the national anthems of both countries accompanied by the music corps of the Presidential Security Details (Paspampres).
Afterwards, both leaders introduced the delegates from each country who attended the ceremony. In addition, President Jokowi and Ibu Iriana invited President Yoon Suk Yeol and Mrs. Kim Keon Hee to take a group photo and sign the state guest book.
Subsequently, the two leaders and their delegations held a bilateral meeting. Meanwhile, Ibu Iriana invited Mrs. Kim Keon Hee for a cup of tea together in Jepara Room.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno LP Marsudi, who also accompanied President Jokowi in the meeting, conveyed that President Yoon Suk Yeol congratulated Indonesia on its ASEAN Chairmanship. “The South Korean President once again congratulated Indonesia, congratulated President Jokowi’s ASEAN Chairmanship. The ASEAN Summit was considered very successful,” said the Minister.
Moreover, the Minister said that both leaders expressed commitment on strengthening the relations of both countries. President Yoon Suk Yeol also expressed his support for Indonesia in achieving the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.
“The South Korean President also expressed his support for Indonesia in achieving the vision of Indonesia 2045. And, this year marked the 50th commemoration of Indonesia-South Korea relations.
