President Prabowo Has a Tête-à-Tête Meeting with President Erdogan

President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto had a tête-à-tête meeting with President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at Turkish Presidential Palace, Ankara, on Thursday, April 10, 2025. The limited meeting was a part of the state visit paid by President Prabowo to Türkiye.

The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Both Heads of State discussed a number of strategic issues deemed as priorities in the bilateral relations between Indonesia and Türkiye, including strengthening cooperations in economic sector, trade, investment, defense industry, energy, health sector, and infrastructure.

In addition to concrete cooperation in various sectors, both leaders also exchanged views on regional and global geopolitical situations. Indonesia and Türkiye agreed to continuously play an active role in maintaining global peace and stability, as well as strengthening collaboration as developing countries in the Global South.

The tête-à-tête meeting reflects a close relation of both countries that has been established for 75 years, and it shows a strong commitment of both leaders to develop Indonesia-Türkiye strategic partnership to a higher level. The meeting serves as the basis for further dialog and intensive cooperation between both countries, be it in bilateral or multilateral fora.
