President Prabowo Inaugurates 31 Indonesian Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary

President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated 31 Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to friendly countries on Monday, March 24, 2025 at the State Palace, Jakarta. The appointment of the ambassadors is contained in Presidential Decree Numbers 25/P and 40/P of 2025 on the Appointment of Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia.
On that occasion, the Head of State took an oath for the Ambassadors who were inaugurated today.
“That I, to be appointed as ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary, will be loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will carry out all laws and regulations in a straightforward manner, for the sake of my service to the nation and state,” President Prabowo said when dictating a fragment of the oath of office to the ambassadors.
The inauguration ceremony was followed by the signing of the minutes by representatives of the inaugurated Ambassadors. The 31 names of the Indonesian Ambassadors who were inaugurated are as follows:
- Agus Priono, as Ambassador to the Republic of Suriname, accredited to the Co-operative Republic of Guyana;
- Andreano Erwin, as Ambassador to the Republic of Serbia, accredited to Montenegro;
- Ardian Wicaksono, as Ambassador to the Republic of Senegal, accredited to the Republic of Cabo Verde, the Republic of the Gambia, the Republic of Guinea, the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, the Republic of Mali, the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, and the Republic of Sierra Leone;
- Cecep Herawan, as Ambassador to the Republic of Korea;
- Dicky Komar, as Ambassador to the Republic of Lebanon;
- Fikry Cassidy, as Ambassador to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, accredited to the Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Republic of Trinidad and Tobago;
- Hendra Halim, as Ambassador of the Republic of Panama, accredited the Republic of Honduras, the Republic of Costa Rica, and the Republic of Nicaragua;
- Hersindaru Arwityo Ibnu Wiwoho Wahyutomo, as Ambassador to the Republic of Finland, accredited to the Republic of Estonia;
- Junimart Girsang, as Ambassador to the Republic of Italy, accredited to the Republic of Malta, the Republic of San Marino, the Republic of Cyprus, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Fund and Agriculture Development (IFAD), the World Food Programme (WFP), and the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT);
- Mirza Nurhidayat, as Ambassador to the Republic of Namibia, accredited to the Republic of Angola;
- Penny Dewi Herasati, as Ambassador to Hungary;
- Siti Nugraha Mauludiah, as Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark, accredited to the Republic of Lithuania;
- Siti Ruhaini Dzuhayatin, as Ambassador to the Republic of Uzbekistan, accredited to the Kyrgyz Republic
- Tyas Baskoro Her Witjaksono Adji, as Ambassador to the Republic of Kenya, accredited to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Federal Republic of Somalia, the Republic of Uganda, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and the United Nations Human Settlement Programme (UN-HABITAT);
- Yayan Ganda Hayat Mulyana, as Ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden, accredited to the Republic of Latvia;
- Agung Cahaya Sumirat, as Ambassador to the Republic of Cameroon, accredited to the Republic of Chad, public Equatorial Guinea, Republic of Gabon, Republic of Congo and Central African Republic;
- Chandra Warsenanto Sukotjo, as Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan;
- Listiana Operananta, as Ambassador to the Republic of Bulgaria accredited to the Republic of Albania and the Republic of North Macedonia;
- Manahan M. P. Sitompul, as Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina;
- Rolliansyah Soemirat, as Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran accredited to Turkmenistan;
- Kartika Candra Negara, as Ambassador to the Republic of Mozambique accredited to Malawi;
- Bambang Suharto, as Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Nigeria accredited to the Republic of Benin, the Republic of Ghana, the Republic of Niger, the Republic of Liberia, the Republic of Burkina Faso, the Republic of Togo, the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe, and ECOWAS;
- Muhsin Syihab, as Ambassador to Canada accredited to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO);
- Simon Djatwoko Irwantoro Soekarno, as Ambassador to the Republic of Cuba accredited to the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, the Republic of Haiti, and the Republic of Jamaica;
- Susi Marleny Bachsin, as Ambassador to the Republic of Portugal;
- Yuyu Sutisna, as Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, accredited to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania;
- Arief Hidayat, as Ambassador to the Republic of Zimbabwe, accredited to the Republic of Zambia;
- Didik Eko Pujianto, as Ambassador to the Republic of Iraq;
- Rina Prihtyasmiarsi Soemarno, as Ambassador to the Czech Republic;
- Vedi Kurnia Buana, as Ambassador to the Republic of Chile; and
- Faizal Chery Sidharta, as Ambassador to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, accredited to the Republic of Djibouti, the State of Eritrea, and the African Union.
The inauguration ceremony ended with congratulatory remarks by President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, followed by the invited guests. (AP/MUR)
