President Prabowo Inaugurates Advisors, Envoys

President Prabowo Subianto on Tuesday (10/22) officially inaugurated Special Advisors, Special Envoys, and Special Staff of the President, at the State Palace, Jakarta.

The inauguration of the President’s Special Advisors is based on Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 140/P of 2024 on the Appointment of Special Advisors to the President. The Special Advisors appointed by President Prabowo are as follows:

  1. Wiranto, Special Advisor to the President for Political and Security Affairs;
  2. Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Special Advisor to the President for Digitalization and Government Technology;
  3. Dudung Abdurachman, Special Advisor to the President for National Defense, and Chairperson of the Defense Industry Policy Committee;
  4. Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Special Advisor to the President for Energy;
  5. Muhadjir Effendy, Special Advisor to the President for Hajj; and
  6. Terawan Agus Putranto, Special Advisor to the President for Health.

On that occasion, President Prabowo also inaugurated a number of Special Envoys based on Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 76/M of 2024 on the Appointment of Special Envoys of the President for the period of 2024-2029. The Special Envoys appointed by President Prabowo are as follows:

  1. Muhamad Mardiono, Special Envoy of the President for Food Security;
  2. Setiawan Ichlas, Special Envoy of the President for Economy and Banking;
  3. Miftah Maulana Habiburrahman, Special Envoy of the President for Interfaith Harmony and Development of Religious Facilities;
  4. Raffi Farid Ahmad, Special Envoy of the President for Development of Young Generation and Artists;
  5. Ahmad Ridha Sabana, Special Envoy of the President for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, Creative Economy and Digital;
  6. Mari Elka Pangestu, Special Envoy of the President for International Trade and Multilateral Cooperation; and
  7. Zita Anjani, Special Envoy of the President for Tourism.

President Prabowo also inaugurated Yovie Widianto as Special Staff of the President based on Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 75/M of 2024 on the Appointment of Special Staff of the President.

President Prabowo presided the oath-taking of the Special Advisors, Special Envoys, and Special Staff.

“…that I will be loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will carry out all laws and regulations prudently, for the sake of my devotion to the nation and the state; that in carrying out my duties, I will uphold the ethics of office and make the best endeavor, with a full sense of responsibility,” the President dictated the oath of office.

After the ceremony, President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming congratulated the newly inaugurated officials. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/ABD) (RI/MMB)
