President Prabowo Receives Courtesy Call from Russian First Deputy Prime Minister

President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto received a courtesy call from the First Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation, Denis V. Manturov, who also serves as the Russian Co-Chair of the Indonesia-Russia Joint Commission on Economic, Trade, and Technical Cooperation, at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Tuesday (04/15). The visit was part of a commitment to establishing a new cooperation framework between the two countries.

Russian First Deputy Prime Minister arrived at the Merdeka Palace at 14.00 Western Indonesian Time and was welcomed by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya with a guard of honor. Upon arrival at the palace’s entrance, he was warmly received by President Prabowo Subianto.

The two leaders then walked together to the credentials room for a photo session as a sign of respect and bilateral ties. Afterwards, President Prabowo invited First Deputy Prime Minister Denis V. Manturov to proceed to the working room for a bilateral meeting.

Several agendas were being discussed in the meeting, including current issues in bilateral relations, especially in the economic sector. The meeting took place in a warm and intimate atmosphere.

On the occasion, President Prabowo confirmed a shared commitment to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries. The Indonesian Government expressed hope that the cooperative relationship between Indonesia and Russia will continue to expand, particularly in economic affairs, industry, trade, energy, agriculture, and investment.
