President Prabowo Subianto Continues Official Visit to Jordan

After completing an official visit in Doha, Qatar, President Prabowo Subianto left for Amman, Jordan, on Sunday (04/13).

The President and limited delegations took off from Doha’s Hammad International Airport around 3 p.m. local time.

He left Doha after holding several important agendas, including bilateral meeting with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani. The two leaders also witnessed the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Strategic Dialog between the Government of Indonesia and Qatar.

“The meeting was very productive. Both countries agreed to enhance cooperation. Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani also showed commitment to investing in Danantara with an amount of US$2 billion dollar. He was very enthusiastic about it,” President Prabowo said in a press release to the media.

During his visit to Jordan, the President is slated to have a bilateral meeting with King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein to discuss bilateral cooperation in various sectors. This visit is part of President Prabowo’s active foreign diplomacy with Middle Eastern countries, which aims to strengthen strategic partnerships and open up mutual cooperation opportunities that can benefit both sides.
