President Prabowo Subianto officially swore in Basuki Hadimuljono as Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) on Tuesday (05/11), at the State Palace, Jakarta. The swearing-in ceremony was conducted following Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 151/P of 2024 on the Appointment of the Head of Nusantara Capital Authority, stipulated in Jakarta on November 4, 2024.

On that occasion, President Prabowo Subianto presided the oath-taking of the Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority.

“I do solemnly swear that I will bear allegiance to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will execute all laws and regulations in the fairest way possible for the service to the state and the nation. That in carrying out my duties, I will uphold professional code of conduct, work to the best of my ability, with a full sense of responsibility,” reads the oath.

Basuki Hadimuljono previously served as Acting Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority replacing Bambang Susantono who had resigned from the position. He was also the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing for the 2014-2019 Working Cabinet and the 2019-2024 Indonesia Onward Cabinet.

After the ceremony, President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming congratulated the newly inaugurated official, followed by other guests. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/DNS) (ZI/AY)
