President Prabowo Subianto Sunday (04/13) received a warm state welcome from Jordan’s King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein upon his arrival at Marka Military Airport in the Jordanian capital of Amman.

The President’s visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan marked a milestone in deepening bilateral relations between the two countries.

The welcoming procession was solemn, reflecting the high respect and brotherhood between the two countries.

This significant moment began when the presidential aircraft entered Jordanian airspace, where a number of Jordanian Air Force fighter jets escorted the aircraft until it landed at the Marka.

Upon arriving at the bottom of the stairs, the Indonesian President was greeted by King Abdullah II with a firm handshake and a warm embrace, gesturing the personal closeness between the two leaders.

Both leaders then walked side-by-side through the honor guard, introducing their respective delegations before stepping to the main podium.

The Indonesian national anthem Indonesia Raya and the Jordanian national anthem were both played, accompanied by the 21-gun salute as a form of honor.

Following the official ceremony, the two leaders observed an impressive flypast by Jordanian fighter jets. One of the most memorable moments of the visit was when King Abdullah II personally drove President Prabowo Subianto to the hotel where he was staying.

This official visit not only strengthened diplomatic ties between Indonesia and Jordan but also served as a powerful symbol of friendship between the two leaders, establishing an atmosphere of mutual respect and brotherhood. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (FI/EP)
