To be the Biggest Producer, Jokowi Allocate 1.2 Trillion Rupiah for Rehabilitation on Cocoa Plantation
In order to make Indonesia the biggest producer of cocoa in the world, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) says would allocate 1,2 trillion rupiah for rehabilitating and recovering cocoa plantation in Indonesia.

Replanting and rehabilitation of cocoa plantation starts next year, says President Jokowi in dialogue with cocoa farmers in Saletto, Mamuju regency in West Sulawesi, Thursday (6/11). This visits to Gerakan Nasional (Gernas), cocoa farm, at Limbongbassi, Saletto village, is the second scheduled of Presidents visits.
Before visiting the cocoa plantation, President and delegation survey irrigation located in Beru-beru village, Mamuju regency, in the morning. President Jokowi promises the irrigation tunnels would be completed in two years.
Farms Legalization
In dialogue with farmers in saletto, President Jokowi asks Minister of Agraria and Spatial to finish certification process of these smallholdings. President also calls on Banks to participate in financing loans for cocoa plantations. President promises to encourage cocoa industries to invest at cocoa production centre that provides value added. He targets, in three years, Indonesia would become the biggest cocoa producers.

In this visit, President Jokowi gives Healthy Indonesia Card (KIS) in symbolic to residents. On the occasion, President Jokowi accompanied by First Lady Iriana, State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Public Works and Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Agriculture Amran Sulaiman, and Governor of West Sulawesi Anwar Adnan Saleh.
