Gov’t Launches Emirates-Indonesia Cardiology Hospital

President Prabowo Subianto, accompanied by Deputy Chairperson of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs of the the United Arab Emirates (UAE), His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Wednesday (11/9) inaugurated the Emirates-Indonesia Cardiology Hospital (RS KEI) in Surakarta, Central Java province.
Prior to the inauguration ceremony, both leaders inspected operating room, a presidential suite & VIP inpatient rooms, a cardiac catheterization laboratory (Cath Lab), and an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) available in the hospital.
The President in his remarks said that the hospital is a solid proof of humanitarian solidarity and a symbol of friendship and cooperation between Indonesia and the UAE.
“I proudly present the Emirates-Indonesia cardiology hospital as a symbol of friendship between Indonesia and the UAE,” he said.
Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin reported that the construction of the hospital started two years ago and funded by the Government of the UAE.
He added that hospital, which has 100 inpatient rooms and 3 operating rooms and was built at a cost of Rp400 billion where Rp250 billion for the building and Rp150 billion for equipment, is expected to become a leading cardiac center in Central Java.
The Government expressed hope that the hospital will significantly increase the capacity for treating cardiovascular disease in Central Java and surrounding areas, as well as expanding public access to high-quality specialist health services.
It is also expected to serve as a leading referral center for modern cardiovascular care.
For the record, the newly-inaugurated Emirates-Indonesia Cardiology Hospital offers integrated cardiac services ranging from prevention and diagnosis to medical procedures and rehabilitation. Each floor of the hospital has been designed to support an integrated and efficient cardiology care workflow.
The facility offers a full range of services, including outpatient clinics, an emergency room, regular and intensive inpatient wards, operating rooms, Cathlab facilities, cardiac rehabilitation, laboratories, radiology, a pharmacy, and a variety of other supporting services
Also on that occasion, Indonesia’s Ministry of Religious Affairs and Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation signed a Letter of Intent aimed at improving education, community empowerment, and religious programs. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (RAS/EP)
