President Joko ”Jokowi” Widodo responded to criticism from a number of parties who stated that many Indonesia’s State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) are failing or going bankrupt.

The President said that the criticism should be supported with data. “The most important thing (in delivering criticism) is data” President Jokowi told the journalists after attending the launching ceremony of the Entrepreneurship Program of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) and Retirees at Sentul International Convention Center, Sentul, Bogor, West Java, Wednesday (16/1).

President Jokowi also asked the critics and the public not to be pessimistic. “Don’t be pessimistic. We have to be optimistic to fix unresolved issues,” he concluded. (FID/JAY/ES)
