The Government Soon Implement the Emergency Operations for Forest and Land Fire Fighting

“The central government and local government both provincial and district levels and supported by the military and police have committed to implementing a joint operation for the prevention of forest fires and land (karhutla),” said Secretary General of the Ministry of Environment and Forests (LHK) Bambang Hendroyono when explaining the results of the coordination meeting land and forest fires, in the building Mangala Wanabakti Jakarta, Saturday (5/9) afternoon.

The meeting was attended by National Police Chief General Badrodin Haiti, the TNI chief Gen. “We hereby affirm our guarantee that the Egyptian Government will keep and provide security to them, to anyone that is in Egyptian territory,” said President Al Sisi in the press conference together with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), at the State Palace, Jakarta, Friday (4/9) evening.

The statement by the President of Egypt was delivered to respond to the request of President Jokowi presented in the joint press statement, that the Government of Egypt to provide protection for about 3,000 students and about 1,200 Indonesian migrant workers in Egypt.

“I said that the Government of Indonesia requesting protection for Indonesian citizens in Egypt. Because the number of students there are approximately 3,000 people and Indonesian migrant workers there are about 1,200 people. His Majesty had agreed to it,” President Jokowi said on the occasion of the joint press statement.

President Joko Widodo will preside over a marathon meeting for three consecutive days starting on Thursday (3/9) tomorrow, at the Presidential Palace in Bogor, West Java. The meeting aims to discuss several issues including the findings of 154 laws and regulations deemed to be a barrier in boosting the national economy, as well as the issue of low budget absorption in the region.

Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung said that President Joko Widodo has asked Minister of Home Affairs to carry out the reward-and-punishment system to the region whose budget absorption is still very low.

In order to implement the provision of Article 19 of Law Number 27 of 2014 on 2015 State Budget amended by Law Number 3 of 2015, Finance Minister Bambang P.S. Brodjonegoro signed Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 163/PMK.05/2015 on Deficit Estimation which Exceeds 2015 State BudgetDeficit Target and Additional Deficit Financing which Estimated to Exceed the 2015 State Budget.

The amount of the 2015 State Budget Deficit Target as enacted by Law Number 27 of 2014 on 2015 State Budget and as amended by Law Number 3 of 2015 is Rp222,506,897,630,000 (two hundreds twenty two trillion five hundreds six billion eight hundreds ninety seven million and six hundreds thirty thousand rupiah).

In order to improve synergies and cooperation in the process of bureaucratic management with the aim to facilitate the achievement of policy and economic development programs, Secretariat Cabinet held a Coordination Meeting of Expert Staff of the Ministry/Institution (K/L) on Economy, at the Multipurpose Hall of the Ministry of State Secretariat, Jakarta, on Tuesday (1/9).

In his opening speech, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung said that the meeting aimed to increase the role of expert staff, to become expert staff not only for themself but also for an institutional expert, an expert in the interest of the nation.
